A Stroll Through Heidelberg: Oberrheinische BankPosted by MadScientist (Düsseldorf, Germany) on 23 November 2009 in Architecture and Portfolio. This building used to be the centre of the Oberrheinische Bank (architects: Henkenhaf / Ebert) and was built 1900-1901. The bank days are over and today it's being used by Heidelberg University. A panel attached to the buildings reminds of the former Mitteltor, a city gate that was previously located exactly at this place. I'm on the move for a few days - see you again, soon! Download my coffee-table book of selected postings here. Enjoy!
