Back to Rome, we're having a look at this delicious frieze I've at Forum Romanum. Just look at these details! It adorned the former Temple of Divus Romulus, the deified son of emperor Maxentius (278-312 AD), but there are also some other identifications of that building. However, execution of this frieze is absolutely brilliant, a rare jewel to be found at Via Sacra.

@Michael: Das Portal befindet sich in einer ansonsten völlig schmucklosen Mauer. Vielleicht war das früher anders, jetzt ist es extrem auffällig.
One wonders where they got the patience and skills from to carve this in stone... Very special picture!
