Il Gesù, Rome, ItalyPosted by MadScientist (Düsseldorf, Germany) on 13 February 2008 in Art & Design. Your beaten Madscientist lies in bed, fevered and coughing, but nonetheless I'll present you another image of fabulous Il Gesù, the Jesuit's main cathedral in Rome. I've already shown a photo of it a few weeks ago. (Edit: I've been using the wrong accent for weeks - of course it's Il Gesù. Now it's correct :-) My (old) coffee-table book of selected postings. @Michael Skorulski: Thank you, Michael! In my opinion this is one of the most spectacular churches. Others might be bigger or more important to Christianity, but this one provides visual impressions that are unforgetable. I have another shot of the whole nave which I will present in the next few days. @Porcsin: Hey, you're back! Glad you like it! @Brites: Thank you Brites! Portugal is at a top position of the list of countries I want to visit! @Tracey: Thank you, Tracey, much appreciated! @Michael: Danke, so langsam werde ich wieder :) |
