Wonderful presentation of this evergreen! The different hues of green make the tree so elegant, as if its mantle has been trimmed!

Im Botanischen Garten der Düsseldorfer Uni stehen auch ein paar Exemplare dieser und verwandter Arten rum. Die sind schon toll - und das sage ich als Farn- und Palmenfan! ;-)

@Steven: Thanks! I'm growing a dwarf version of it on my balcony and I'm anxious to learn if the growth patterns will be similar to those of the big one.

@Twelvebit: Yes, the foliage (is that the correct expression for conifers) is very dense; a very attractive tree.
