The recent cold snap brought us lots of snow*, ice-cold storms**, and destructively low*** temperatures. This shook me to the very foundations, so I needed something to settle down, like this summer picture of last year's pansies. Ah, I feel better now :)
Translation for Canadians: * ridiculously small amount of white stuff that melts away in half an hour ** almost unnoticeable breeze *** cosy temps above 32°F / 0°C, minimum temps at 24.8°F / -4°C; warm
These are vibrant with the way they catch the light. Wonderful reminders of summer.

@Michael Skorulski: My wife's favourite flowers :-)
LOL! The Canadians do seem to have it bad this year. Great shot of the pansies!

@Craig: Thanks, Craig! Usually, our snow is gone within a day. I can live with that ;)
Lovely colors.

@Evi: Definitely! Thanks for dropping in!
I love your commentary MS :D These beautiful flowers (in one of my favourite colours) are a great reminder of what we have to look forward too. A really pretty shot :)

@MaryB: I hope our cold snap will be over soon! My wife has already prepared new pots with pansies. I'm sure you'll like them :)
Oh Yes ,we need that... warm colors and sun... just 3 or 4 months more and it will be a reality. well done the translation for our Canadians friends...

@Evelyne Dubos: Oh, I hope the sun will be here in 3 or 4 weeks... :-)
Pansies are my all time favorites. The temperature here is almost just right for planting winter pansies. They make me smile, as does this picture!

@Tracey: Thank you so much, you just made my day :-)
Nice warm colors and a sense of fragileness captured with how paper-thin the petals look. Those translations work well for Chicagoans, too. :-(

@Steven: Poor one! I know what you mean: your forecast, my forecast. However, it's getting better slooooowly.
I'm glad you clarified the cold snap for us! Very amusing.
Those are some beautiful orange flowers. The light is pleasant.

@Laurie: Thanks, Laurie :) These are my wife's favourites, new pansy pots are already prepared.

@Michael: Stiefmütterchen sind härter im Nehmen, als ich dachte: einen Topf haben wir ohne Verluste durch den Winter bekommen. Blühen tun sie gut, nur leider duften sie nicht mehr im zweiten Jahr.
Yes... that is what we need... SUMMER! (Which is soon here!) Hopefully it will not be a rainy one again... Beautiful choice of color for these pansies...
