After all that Baroque splendor we have to take a small break at the Tiber and watch the city. Perhaps we're going to buy one of the 'luxurious' leather bags or golden clocks at one of the small stalls right here on the bridge...
Beautifully wrapped in light and shadows, the city finds its blurred image in the river. It keeps its secrets well hidden as I can only guess that there are marvellous statues on the bridge and a promise of gardens in the far background. The secrecy of the atmosphere is very promising!

@Japanalia: Thank you! Yes, Vatican Gardens are nearby. The bridge we're standing on is one of the most beautiful, I'll see if I have a shot of its statues.
A beautiful tranquil image, Ms. I especially like your sky and the reflections on the river.

@Michael Skorulski: I did this shot in December, when rainfalls are very rich (I learned that a few times - without umbrella).

@Craig: Thanks, Craig! A strange feeling to be there and think of the people who might have stood there also, centuries ago.
Beautiful light and atmosphere.

@Evelyne Dubos: If I remember this correctly, this was shortly after one of these heavy rains. Boy, I was wet! :-)
Lovely peacful and tranquil shot. So interesting to see the intricacy of the work of bridges in days gone by, contrasting sharply with the simple lines of what gets built today.

@Ina: Thanks, Ina! Did I already say that Rome is one of the best places to get rid of winter blues?
The clouds in the sky are magnificent! And the water reflections give one the feeling of tranquility and peace... A very beautiful scenery well captured!

@juant3: Thank you so much! Up to now I've seen Rome just in December. I wonder how wonderful - and crowded - it might get in summer...
Beautiful capture that fills the entire frame with interest from the dome on the right to the leading bridge all the way to the left. Nice reflection off the water that isn't too bright or distracting. Go for the "gold clocks." ;-)

@Steven: These gold clocks were suspiciously lightweight, so we resigned :-D
Beautiful cityscape.

@akarui: Me too! Wished I could be there! :)
The only problem I have with this image is that it makes me want to be there.

@Twelvebit: Now we're two!
The clouds look like in a paiting! Superb harmony shot!
