Sunday - let's relax and have a walk back to that beautiful bridge and take a close look to the buildings on the other side. The spire and that sober Gothic building in the center belong to the S. Spirito in Sassia complex, a charitable institution for Saxon pilgrims. To the right we can see the cupola of St. Peter's, another target we haven't visited yet.
Wonderful. The light in the background really makes it.

@Ana Lúcia: I made it look a bit more dramatic, as you already might have found out ;-)
Very good HDR image, yes?

@Observing: Well, yes and no :-) A few months ago I tried and tested a Mac software ('Aperture') that enables me to selectively tone down or brighten up parts of an image. I don't want to advertize that software but it saved many of my (jpeg-) photos that were partly over-, partly underexposed. I was really surprised how much I could get from pictures that I found miscarried. I'm glad you like it (thus affirming my decision to buy that software)!
It looks like a beautiful painting, those buildings are really amazing and I love the way the sunlight is illuminating the clouds. Wonderful work MS.

@MaryB: These Roman clouds are insidious, their rain drowned me more than once! ;)
Very nice! I love the dramatic sky and as usual I am jealous of the scenery! I must travel more often! And thanks for stopping in to my other blog and leaving a comment. It was a nice surprise!

@Tracey: My pleasure! I know that feeling, because I'm jealous of American nature - and I have to travel much more too! :)
Einmalig!

@Michael: Wär' ich mal wieder da!
You've got lots cooler places you can walk to than I do --even if it's a metaphorical walk.

@Twelvebit: Wished I would be there! But real estate prices in Rome resemble those in Florida (before the bubble bursted).
