Düsseldorf's Schwanenspiegel is a pond whose green goes back to the French occupation of the Rhineland in the beginning of the 19th century. This view is seen from the Ständehaus, now a museum of modern art.
simple but beautiful...look at a sharpness...how did you achieved such sharpness at f/7.1 ?

@Abhijeet: Actually that was just a snapshot. Except from my church and plant photos I don't 'calculate' the parameters, I only look at the shutter speed :) This photo was made on a bright summer day last year, that certainly helped a bit. (But after resizing its size, I usually sharpen the picture.)
Tja, wie schon gesagt: Düsseldorf! :-)

@Jen: It's a quite small park, some meters nearby is the next street :-/
Great view and from an art museum.

@JoeB: That's actually behind the viewer, a quite large 19th century building that once hosted the regional parliament. All in all a very nice laying out.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but this landscape could be taken right here in America. It's interesting to note both the differences and similarities of distant lands.

@Twelvebit: Maximilian Friedrich Weyhe, the horticultural director from Düsseldorf, was responsible for the layout of this (and other) garden(s). He was an advocate of the English garden style, so I think there are indeed common roots in European and American gardening.
All three levels are wonderfully captured: sky, trees and pond. Wish there were no buildings and no cars! (I know, I know......it is the 21st century!)

@Japanalia: Me too, me too! But Düsseldorf is meant for traffic, it's a shame! Hundred years ago this city's broad streets were filled with pedestrians, today it's just a solid line of cars with all disadvantages and inconveniences you can imagine!
