Another view from Tegernsee, Bavaria.
I once found Bavaria described as the 'Texas of Germany' and accepted that as true. My home is sort of the New Jersey of Germany - without the coastline ;-)
Great landscape shot!...it's lovely to be able to look over the tops of the trees ans see that great view!

@Ian Bramham: As seen from my hotel window. (It was always a challenge to get up to there as I'm not used to these steep streets!)
this is a fine landscape.

@Ana Lúcia: These Bavarians certainly have some kind of home advantage!
Beautiful place. I like especially the foreground with these great trees and their different colors.

@Evelyne Dubos: Yes, the mountains are a little bit tattered ;-)
A lovely landscape. Even the compression bands in the sky add to it. super.

@Michael Skorulski: Yes, this is not the usual view from an ordinary hotel window. I haven't even ordered 'lake view', so this was a beautiful surprise!
Excellent!

@Michael: *verbeug*
Beautiful landscape and view. I like the orange color with the blue-green all around.
19 May 2008 6:08pm
@akarui: That orange one looks a bit like a wilted tree, but this effect results solely from the sun rays.
Wonderful scenery! I am sure with the snow-white-winter this place would look like out of a dream...
20 May 2008 4:16am
@juant3: It surely does, but the snow won't go away till April or even May. Nothing for me :-)
Spectacular landscape! The fir trees are magnificent specimens!
20 May 2008 8:15am
@Japanalia: There are many old trees, the atmosphere is completely different to younger forests (as they are common where I'm living).
I'd love to be there right now.

@Twelvebit: Yeah, me too. Or better, wait a month or two, then it's really warm there. I've been to there in August last year and it was just right.
Great colors!

@Daily Phototherapy: Bavaria is a blessed region. Even people there seem to be healthier!
