Another shot from my favourite jungle around the corner. The two bananas you can see to the right are Ensete ventricosum 'Maurelli' - the Überbanana with striking red leaves, that makes me always want to have more garden space at home.
Lush and vibrant. this is a lovely jungle-like image.

@Michael Skorulski: The best thing is that most of these plants are able to grow at home (with only little extra care) :-)
Nice jungle reconstruction, i can understand you like to be there !!

@Evelyne Dubos: It's really lovingly equipped, I found several interesting and beautiful species there (and, of course, made a lot of photos).
What a perfect setting with so many beautiful plants and features. A lovely shot MS.

@MaryB: Thanks, Mary! I always enjoy being there :-)
Very inviting --as long as it's not too hot.

@Twelvebit: Most plants you can see here just require mild, frost-free temperatures. It's not as hot and sticky as in the rainforest greenhouse.
Very nice lush surroundings. The ropes and bamboo bridge add a nice sense of depth.

@Steven: I'd like to go behind that barrier though... There are so many details to discover :)
WOW! Das sieht ja klasse aus! Das mit dem milden Klima habe ich in England schon oft bestätigt bekommen. Erstaunlich, was dort für Pflanzen wachsen...

@Michael: Ich sah neulich Fotos von einem spektakulären Park in Cornwall. Die Pflanzenwelt dort schien direkt der Urzeit entnommen, einfach toll!
That's a great shot!

@Ana Lúcia: Thank you, Ana Lúcia!
Beautiful tropical house, I can feel the humid heat, I could spend some hours there.

@Observing: Actually it was quite comfortable there, humid heat was in the rainforest house, where it was really sticky!
Yes a tropical feeling with all that green and the banana trees.

@akarui: In any case a source of inspiration for my private jungle :)
A banana tree in the middle of Dusseldorf. What's next apes running the planet, things start small and then build up.

@JoeB: Yesterday I've read in a book on fossil plants that most likely we're just living in an interglacial and that our temperatures are way behind the temps of former warm periods. So don't throw away to winter coat.
