St. Marien, Interior

Our first view of St. Mary's interior. A few years ago the walls and pillars were painted in the sense of its designer, Joseph Prill. This room creates a reverberaton of at least 7-8 seconds.

Beautiful symetric shot, and the color is wonderful. It's a very bright church - lots of light coming in.

@Observing: I was very lucky last Saturday: no visitors but me, bright sunlight (I've chosen a big ISO though), it was open and I had enough time. I don't need much to have a great day :)

I have to say this is a very pleasant suprise, the outside of the church is very beautiful, but the inside.......Wow! it's stunning!

The white painting gives a more modern feeling. A nice church anyway.

@akarui: In the beginning colours were different (as I've read), but ten years ago this has been changed according to the designer's wishes.

I like the clean symmetrical lines and the light! The altar area in the background really draws the eyes of the visitor!

Yeah, well, that $3000 price tag is why I won't be buying it any time soon, especially as I already have two dslr bodies and have my eye on a 1080p HD projector for my home theater.

@Twelvebit: I think such a projector has a much higher WAF (wife acceptance factor) than an overpriced camera. :)

Die wirklichen Schätze sind eiegntlich immer in der Nähe zu finden, Klasse Foto!
Und wenn´s nicht ne Nikon 700 wird, Olympus soll ja auch ganz gute Fotokäasten bauen ;-)

@Michael: Höhö :-) Nix da, meine Canon benutze ich bis sie auseinanderfällt! Und die nächste SLR gibt's gebraucht. Momentan kann man das ja bei Nikon ganz gut beobachten, wie die Preise für die Flaggschiffe von gestern ins bodenlose purzeln... Aber was Elektronik betrifft, war ich noch nie early adopter, ich hab Zeit... :-)
@Michael: *Sehr* wichtiger Korrekturfaktor bei der Anschaffung technischen Geräts! :-D
