St. Elisabeth, Bonn, Revisited

Elisabeth again, shot on day with German standard summer weather. One day I will bomb all these cars away. (No, not really, but I know that there's a planet where it's forbidden to put cars in front of churches, at least when I'm trying to take a photo and especially if the bad light conditions have already made me angry!)

Don't be angry MS:-) you have captured this beautifully!! I do understand your frustration though...cars should be banned from the front of churches, though I have to say you did very well at hiding this one:-) Cars get tin the way of a lot of great shots I'm sure! Anyhoo, I love the lighting here MS and the sharp contrast between the sky and the steeple, wonderful:-)

@Linerberry: Glad you like it! This one is a real beauty, also from the outside. It's located between many trees at enough distance to the surrounding houses, so it's quite easy to make good photos.

OMG! what an incredible shot! this church is so very beautiful. I didn't even see the car till you mentioned it, my eyes were on the architecture. But I understand your frustraiton.

@MaryB: There are way too much cars here. I've been living in Bonn for more than 10 years and never had one. They are everywhere, crowding the streets. Maybe you know that theory that cars are an alien life form that has taken over earth and is constantly changing the environment according to its needs... :-)

Wonderful symmetry and detail in this one, MS. Looks a little like HDR. I know what you mean about the cars.

@Michael Skorulski: Thanks! Looks a bit like HDR, but it isn't - I just raised the shadows and lowered the sky a bit. Not sure if I would have minded the cars if it were more than one. But this peculiar single one was really annoying! :)

Its probably the father's car, sounds like your about to join a group that starts their name with the word Red. I like every brick and angle its such great work and detail. The colour of the brick is hypnotic.

@António Pires: Definitely a fine church, the quarter it is located in isn't bad, either, as it has many old residential buildings.

I did notice the unusual location of the car. I think that looks like a walkway and not a driveway/parking area. Yes cars can and do frustrate many a photographer.

That is an amazing church.
