Junkerhaus, Lemgo: Wall Ornaments

Here we're looking at a wall in one of the corridors at the Junkerhaus.

Before we're going to explore Junker's art further, I'll intercept this series with something different because I feel a need for fresh air and some shots I've done out of doors. You'll like it, promised!

Did you also heard rumors on freezing transactions between banks next week? I wonder how many banks (and dependent enterprises) will survive this treatment: being on their own, without the permanent flow of fresh money.

I like this angle which gives volume to all those sculptures.

@akarui: That's right, you wouldn't find a single plain wall without decor in this house. The design is rather rough, though.

From pain he's created this house and art in a medieval style.

@JoeB: You can find many sources for his art, including the buildings of Lemgo: their Renaissance style had similar decors; some of Junker's figures resemble South Sea statues, his paintings are pointilistic and naive. A very eclectic style, summarized in this one house.
