@Observing: Thanks! I must always think that the designer of these garden was an admirer of English gardens. I love this park especially because of its really old trees and rhododendrons (they're 300+ years old).

@dj.tigersprout: Depending on our will to self-destruction there's a chance that plants will survive us. That's the cool thing with life: it's going on, no matter if we want this or if we don't.

@Twelvebit: Absolutely - this is a park designed 300 years ago. Natural forests are quite seldom in Germany - unfortunately. The region where I live was covered with a dense jungle (the Hamarithi) up to 1000 years ago. It's completely gone. Most forests of today were laid out after the war. Heltorf Garden with its old trees comes quite close to a 'real forest'. But that's of course nothing compared to the natural wonders of your country.
