WinterlandPosted by MadScientist (Düsseldorf, Germany) on 6 January 2009 in Plant & Nature. Winter came and finally gave us snow. Plenty of snow! I can't remember the last time we had that much snow, must be several decades ago. And it's pure, natural snow coming from polar air, not the so very common industrial snow (that is produced by air pollution through power plants, for example). At noon, sun came out and the sky showed the slightest hue of blue that is imaginable. Wind blew through the conifers and the fresh snow crunched under my feet.
