The best illuminated vaults I know! (We already were visiting this marvel a few times.) Compare it with yesterday's ceiling!

This is a great balance of pattern and lighting. I also think the starbusrts around the lights adds to the majesty.

@B.Held: With one exception (Il Gesù in Rome) this is the best illuminated church I know. Just for an example, this almost unlit ceiling shot took 30 seconds!

@Ronnie 2¢: Me too! There are interesting transitions were the vaults 'collide' in the intersections! Will show it!

Beautiful picture of church ceiling and lights. Is it a vertical panorama or the wide angle covers all that range?

@akarui: I tried panorama shots, but I'm not really good in this. This (like every other ceiling shot) is a single photo. The higher the ceiling, the more I get: here (Cologne cathedral) you can overpeer a total of 140 meters(!), while this one (St. Aposteln, Cologne) is much smaller (ca. 50 meters).
