As demanded, a closer look to the ceiling of St. Jakob, Bamberg, depicting various episodes from the saint's life.

this is so striking...is it the colours used, or the modern almost cartoon like representation? Excellent MS!

@Ted: It's a modest Baroque illusionist painting, the perspective and proportions look correct when seen from the hall. Its colours and simplicity are indeed unusual, making it look more modern than it really is.

@Ronnie 2¢: It's also a church you won't find in every tourist guide. Many guides (or guided tours) avoid it. It doesn't deserve that.
