Église St-Nicolas, Brussels: Assumption WindowPosted by MadScientist (Düsseldorf, Germany) on 7 August 2010 in Art & Design. The assumption of the virgin Mary is depicted in this stained glass window by Guy Chabrol, dated from its last restauration in 1956 (unfortunately a bit obstructed by the church's organ, therefore looking a bit irregular at its borders). This is the last picture of this series, we can't stay forever here, but if you like you may continue our visit with these additional shots: The Saint Mary's chapel, the corresponding shot to Friday's image. Enjoy! My (old) coffee-table book of selected postings. More MadScientist: eclecticimaging.tumblr.com, the guy behind this blog

@Phil David Alexander Morris: I like its colours, they are very vivid. A courageous design. @António Pires: Many thanks, António! @Evelyne Dubos: Thank you very much, Evelyne! @Philip: Hey, I was just a guest and try to behave! ;-) @MARIANA: Hey, this is Mary's assumption, not yours! ;-) @CElliottUK: Come on, more pixels means more fun! :-) @Japanalia: Me too! :-) @Lori: Glad you like it, Lori! @Twelvebit: No bass, no piano - I don't know... |
