Beuel, Bonn's district on the 'schäl Sick' (that's the wrong side of the Rhine river, as every city on a river has a 'right' and a false bank), an independent city for 17 years, and its interesting geography: this street is like a historistic connection between Beuel's centre and the rail station. All buildings and streets around this one are significantly younger.
My (old) coffee-table book of selected postings.

@philip earl: Many thanks, Philip!
@Japanalia: It's the tram leading from the rail station back to Bonn - no rail, no street.
@akarui: Thank you very much, Olivier! Dark and dull days require a good lens; the best I have is my macro lens, which I'm using as a tele.
@klausZ: Dankeschön! Bei 100mm kommt es auf den Ausschnitt an, meist betone ich dabei die Vertikale, was bei Altbauten meist ganz gut gelingt.
@Curly: I had to enhance it a bit by pulling up contrast; actually it was a rather dull day with 2min of sunshine approx.
@DowsherVision: Thank you, DowsherVision!
@Phil David Morris: Thank you very much, Phil!
@Christine Walsh: Typical brutality of municipal gardening offices. It's not easy being green.
