The main building of Cologne's botanical garden, the Flora. Layed out from 1862 - 1864, it has a beautiful stand of many wonderful trees and various plants from all climatic zones of the world.

@Michael Skorulski: Thanks! My wife complained that the grass would look much too emerald green on that photo :-)
@Observing: Maybe I exaggerated a little bit when I took away the haze :)
@Jen: Thank you, Jen! It was partly rainy, partly sunny that day; for this capture the light was just right :-)
@akarui: Thank you so much! I'm living just 30 kilometres away and this was my first visit there! Shame on me ;)
@malahat: Thank you, malahat, much appreciated!
@Ina: Thank you, Ina! This is one of the greatest gardens Cologne has to offer, they even have a huge variety on plants of South Africa. After our visit we had to order some more succulents! :-)
@Ana Lúcia: Thank you so much, Ana Lúcia! Been there for my first time; this lovely layout was our very first impression.
@Steven: Almost: after ten minutes of sunny weather we experienced some heavy rain, then again sun, rain, sun... But it was definitely a very nice visit, our feet started to hurt after three hours :-D
@Evelyne Dubos: N'est-ce pas? It was our first visit there, we stayed about three hours and my CF card was full too soon! Seems that we have to revisit this place some times more! :)
@Japanalia: I did some post-processing here and my wife complained that the colours would be too strong (the grass wasn't emerald green but moss green, flowers are too colourful, building too much orange etc.) But I thought that some postcard feeling here would be just right, and I'm delighted that you support that idea :-)
@Twelvebit: No sweat. Relax and enjoy :-)
