Not so pagan Halloween greetings from the Chapel of the deceased in St Ignatius, Prague.

MissT from Chicagoland, United States

Wow, interesting - I'm sure there is a lot of symbolism in each element here, beyond my power of interpretation! Great shot!

@MissT: I think it is just a reminder of mortality. The fasces are a pointer to heavenly justice, I think.

Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United Kingdom

I think I recognize one of the three faces . . saw him on the street this very morning outside Starbucks !

@Ronnie 2¢: They are a gang, I've met them in Brussels, too!

P. Morris from Canada

Extremely beautiful if not macabre, but you are allowed that.

@P. Morris: If we had done our trip to Kutna Hora (unfortunately my wife had a fever, so next time), you would have seen much more macabre things. I hope we'll have our next visit next year!

ORBIT from Kerman, Iran

@ORBIT: Thanks a lot, Orbit!

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

It would be much easier if we got used to the idea of death from the very beginning of Life.......but...we don't think much of it while we're alive.

@Japanalia: You think so? At least we are the only attested species that is aware of its mortality.

Christine Walsh from Astoria, NY, United States

I can't believe this is in a church!
