St Marien: Two Windows

Posted by

St Marien, Bad Godesberg: two choir windows with sceneries pertaining to the Old Testament. Left: Passover; right: the Binding of Isaac. These windows were not as well preserved as the 'big ones', but nonetheless pleasing pieces of 19th century sacral art.

Another perfect window shot Manfred, I'm just reworking some older images of a very old abbey (late 700s AD) see how they look in HDR.

As usual I can only see the beauty in the photo as I have never seen a church with such
magnificent windows. Very beautiful.

@Phil David Morris 2011: Not bad for a parish church, indeed! :-)

Ornate windows with very small repeating patterns throughout. The repititious patterns seem to draw greater attention to the figurines.

@Steven: I'll show some other windows which will have these patterns only. There is enough variation resulting in a pleasing work of art, though.
