A view of Königswinter, the city at the foot of Siebengebirge. Home of Drachenburg and Drachenfels; the dragon that was slain by legendary Siegfried was coming from here, trachyte from the mountains was used for building Cologne Cathedral, and the ruins of Heisterbach abbey are in close vicinity. Lord Byron celebrated this view in Childe Harold's Pilgrimage, and Königswinter tries hard to get a bit back of this fame of the past.
