Stephan von Sarter, son of an inkeeper, lucky beggar on the stock market of Paris, was the builder of Drachenburg castle. This was the dining room. The castle (including a big park surrounding it) was completed within only three years, but Sarter never lived here. Some illustrious gaggle of people was residing here, though, including the crown prince and princess of Greece and princess Charlotte zu Schaumburg-Lippe.
