Where there is light, there is hope.

Karstadt, one of big German department store chains, was running into financial difficulties a couple of years ago. The usual vultures were already banding together, ready for having a big butchery and perhaps getting a few good slices of the damaged company. Rumors about bankruptcy were circulating, and the personnel braced itself for the worst case.
But then sort of a mircale happened. A new investor entered into business, thus preventing the divestiture of Karstadt. I don't know many details on that story, but the big stores are still there and the company is out of the big headlines.

I hope they make use of LED bulbs for decoration! And I like that you gave front place to the decorating illuminations and left the people in the dark....
