Take Up Your Choice

Many German cities allow these 'old vs. new' shots due to obvious reasons. But Frankfurt certainly does this best. Taken last October.

My choice would go to the left! Just because I have too many sights like what is on the right. Last week I got on an almost finished HUGE building in one of the many centers in Tokyo, but I only reach half way to the top..at the 11th floor. And I wanted to take some shots of what was there beyond the windows....In exchange for my "daring action", I got an attack of dizziness! No joke!

@Japanalia: I'm working in a building with a glass facade, and some of my colleagues have their problems with that (vertigo). This is a bank tower, by the way, and in that church Johann Wolfgang v. Goethe was baptized.

Beautifully-rich colors that you've captured in this nighttime shot! I love the contrast between old and new.

@Steven: Frankfurt is full of these; it's one of the few German cities with really huge buildings.

I love the clock, but what I like even more is the way the yellow and the building behind disappears, great contrasts too.

@Abena: The building in the background is a bank tower; it has a certain Gotham city feeling.
